I am delighted to announce the latest development in Galway Maths Grinds’ efforts to cater for, and make life easier for students. For the coming school year I plan to launch a texting service. This makes use of technology that most students carry around with them in their pocket. Clients can sign up to receive a daily text message with facts from their course of study, direct to their mobile phone.
From the client’s point of view it is simple, convenient, cost-effective and requires no extra equipment or training. The texts can be stored on your phone and reviewed at your convenience, any time and any place that suits you. In effect its like having a deck of flash cards in your pocket, that you can pull out any time you like.
You can take advantage of what might otherwise be dead time to review your course material. For example, if you are sitting on or waiting for a bus, being driven to or from school, waiting for friends to turn up or sitting in a doctor’s waiting room. There are lots of times we are just waiting that you can take advantage of to revise your work without losing time from any other activities. You will not always have your text books or hand-written notes with you, but you usually have your phone. And that is all you need.
If you would like to be put on a mailing list to be kept informed of updates on this drop me your mobile phone or email details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
