Quick and Easy ways to deal with Exam Stress.

relaxing nature pictureFor those doing exams and feeling a little under pressure, here is a short list of quick and easy ways to deal with normal exam stress. No need for explanations, just know that they work.

  • Play classical music in the background.  For example these youtube videos:

  • Take a quick walk.

  • Take a short break when you need one and do something total different to your study.

  • Plan your study routine so that you cover the essentials and do not waste time on unimportant things.

  • Play with your pet.

  • If you get too tired, stop trying to study and get enough sleep.

  • Learn to relax. (Meditation, breathing exercises, watching a short comedy program etc).

  • Eat dark choclate. It is over 70% cocoa, fights the stress hormone cortisol and the endorphins it releases has an overall relaxing effect on the body.

  • Get it off your chest. Sometimes you just need to talk to someone. Other times you just need to scream and get it out of your system, but pick your spot. You don’t want to be locked up for being crazy.

  • Block out distractions. Turn off your phone. Stay away from facebook, email etc while studying.

  • Revise a little bit everyday.
