Special maths examAll is not lost if you did not get the grade you wanted in your Leaving Cert Maths exam. A number of colleges offer a lifeline in the form of a special maths entrance exam, providing a second chance to students to meet the particular entry requirements for certain courses.

The exams vary between the colleges, and some colleges also run preparatory courses to help students learn what to expect. Fees may be payable in some cases while other courses are free. All information is available on the relevant college websites.

Here is a guide to what is on offer

There are two versions of the paper available, one at ordinary level and one at higher level.
