I have added a link to a free online language translator under the “Resources” section of the site. It performs translations to/from 51 languages in combinations including: Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Belorussian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Mandarin), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, Gaelic, Galician, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Welsh, and Yiddish.
It is for translation of words, phrases, and sentences. Do not expect it to be fully correct all the time but it should generally be good enough to give you a good idea of what you want to translate. It could be very useful for translating a word you might be stuck on in a school text book or for preparing a list of useful words and phrases for use on holiday or business trip abroad.
Bear in mind that this translation service can translate not more than 1000 characters at a time, so if you want to translate more than this you will need to divide it up into smaller chunks of text.
